As the night came to a close and the party members were bidding each other a good night, they all took a moment to reflect on the citrus infused evening. All except Chris, who was trying to recall why he had decided to leave his band-aid on while carving a duck in the first place.

The Dinner Party Gang Strikes Again
On one mild, wild, Saturday night, 8 individuals set out to create a citrus feast beyond your wildest imaginations. This is their story.
Crystal can hardly contain her excitement as the duck l'orange is being carved by Chris. Chris, however, is deep in thought, wondering if his band-aid will hold up against the saturation of duck fat.
The citrus sparkler punch flowed heavily that evening - bringing out contemplative musings, complaints of small glasses and some fairly heavy giggling.
Just some of the after effects.
The party as it unfolds. (This was around the time Chris discovered that in fact his band-aid would not hold up against the richness of the duck fat.) On the menu: Citrus Tapenade for the appetizer, Mandarin Walnut salad, Citrus Mushrooms, Orange Roasted Potatoes, Duck L'orange........
......And after a rousing time in the hot tub, the best way to cap off the evening - a Lemon Burger. All right, it was more of a torte and it was divine.
As the night came to a close and the party members were bidding each other a good night, they all took a moment to reflect on the citrus infused evening. All except Chris, who was trying to recall why he had decided to leave his band-aid on while carving a duck in the first place.

Nothingness
I have been thinking a long time on a blogging subject. Too long. And all I can come up with is tiny little snip-its of nothingness.
So here are a few thoughts on real, unadulterated nothing:
- I really hated the idea of cooking 5 meals a week while both sets of my parents are gone. And you know what? I kind of loved it. But don't tell them ;)
- I have been thinking about my food philosophy lately and here it is (or at least part of it): If I'm going to eat dessert, I want dessert - no health food crap. But if I want something healthy, then I want it pure and spotless - no high-fructose corn syrup lurking in the background.
- This whole idea of snow in April kind of sucks. May I have Charlotte back now please?
- I love the way Ruby says movie. "Woo-woo? Woo-woo?" She asks for one like 20 times a day and we have a 1-video-a-day policy. It gets bent sometimes, especially for her latest favourite - "Sunday School Songs". C'mon, it's just singing about Jesus, you can't go wrong with that.
- I just love afternoon naptime. I can get so much done and I can get nothing done but it's all in my control. Aaaaaah.
- I think Spring cleaning is highly overrated. How dirty can my walls possibly get? I think it's an every other year deal. And this is my year off. Oh wait, last year was my year off too. Can it be an every third year deal?
- I want to get baskets and boxes to put everything into. And I want them all coordinating.
- I've baked 3 days in a row and it feels really good. I think I should bake every day. Oh and then I would weigh like 300 pounds. That's cute on a 5'3" gal, right?
- I think I really rock at Guitar Hero. But I think I should tape myself sometime because I think I probably look pretty lame. Especially when I sing along to some 'Jovi.
- I get really annoyed at the Superstore when I want something that was advertised in the flyer and it's all out of stock. Really annoyed.
- I'm not a huge Germaphobic or anything but I think the Library and its contents must be a germ fest. I'm just waiting for John Stossell to do a special 20/20 investigation on this "Silent" killer.
Ok, that's it.
Well, one last thing. Here's a cute pic of Ruby after she wakes up from her nap. Her hair is always rather unruly and it's awesome.
